Middleton, Wisconsin, ranked seventh on the list of the Best Places to Live in America in 2005. In Middleton, the friendly atmosphere of the “Good Neighbor City” is what sets it apart from the other suburbs in the area. Business and residents continue to forge the community’s small-town feel. The city, established in 1856, has grown from its original agrarian roots into a progressive community with a thriving economy and family-oriented culture. From its historic downtown commercial sector to its growing lake-edge retail setting, Middleton offers several distinctive areas and employment options. Employment is well balanced between manufacturing, trade, service and government sectors.
